The Handball Federation of Nigeria has shown that they are well prepaid for the upcoming National under 18/21 handball championship that will kick off in Lagos from Friday, March 26 to April 1st.
The handball teams from States across and also academies are all expected to be present today in Lagos for the competition.
The secretary-general of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed, has confirmed that the competition will take place at the Rowe Part Sports Center in Yaba, Lagos.
And that the federation has made adequate preparation to ensure that the competition becomes a success.
It was noted that about 37 teams from 15 States of the country have all shown their interest and have registered as well to compete at the championship which is expected to discover talents and as well develop the sport in the country.
In Alhaji Maigidansanma words, “Adequate preparation has been made to ensure that we have a successful competition and what is left is for the teams to arrive on time for immediate registration”
He continued by saying that teams are expected to arrive on Thursday as there will be a technical meeting on the same day.
Alhaji Maigidansanma, also confirmed that the screening will commence at 9 am on Friday before hostilities begin later in the day.
