Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) is a professional body that is saddled to foster promotion to the Nigeria handball teams and as well control the general affairs of handball sports within the nation.
The association has its sole aim which is to promote the sports of handball in Nigeria. The body oversees and organizes national tournaments in order to prepare teams and individuals from Nigeria for international championships. They also organize domestic events in the country to promote and develop handball game in the country.
This association operates under the International Handball Federation as its affiliate and has been a member since 1974. The association organised a camping programme for Under 18 and 20 players ahead of the African qualifiers for the 2018 International Handball federation competition which was held in the Niger Republic.
The Handball Federation of Nigeria hosted the 2018 National Under 12 and Under 18 Championship which was held from 6 to 15 April at Moboloji Johnson Sports Centre Rowe Park Lagos State
